Receipt Matching
Snap a photo or forward an email. The AI extracts every field and matches it to the right transaction automatically.
How receipt capture works
There are three ways to get receipts into SKOOR. Take a photo from the mobile dashboard. Forward an email receipt to your unique SKOOR receipt address. Or upload a PDF or image from the desktop dashboard. All three methods trigger the same OCR pipeline: the AI extracts the vendor name, transaction amount, date, tax, tip, and line items from the document.
Auto-matching logic
Once extracted, the receipt data is compared against your unmatched card transactions. The AI matches on amount (within a tolerance of plus or minus $0.50 to account for tips and rounding), date (within plus or minus 3 days to account for settlement delays), and merchant name similarity. When a confident match is found, the receipt is attached to the transaction automatically. When multiple potential matches exist, the AI presents the options for you to confirm.
Manual matching
If the AI cannot find a match, the receipt is placed in the Unmatched queue. From there, you can search for the corresponding transaction and attach it manually. This happens most often with cash purchases, vendor credits, or transactions from non-SKOOR cards. Manual matches train the AI to improve future matching accuracy for similar receipts.
Missing receipt alerts
SKOOR tracks which transactions require receipts based on your expense policies. If a transaction above your receipt threshold has no matched receipt after 48 hours, the cardholder receives a reminder notification. Admins can view all transactions missing receipts from the compliance dashboard. Persistent missing receipts may trigger an auto-lock on the card, depending on your policy settings.
